Craving a quick escape from Manila’s hustle? Bosay Resort Antipolo is an easy answer. It sits in Antipolo City, Rizal, close enough for a day trip, yet green and quiet enough to feel like a real break.

I celebrated my birthday at Bosay Resort Antipolo, and it was the perfect setting for a slow, happy day. We swam, ate well, and simply enjoyed the shade of the trees. Whether you come for the day or stay overnight, the resort makes unwinding feel effortless.

Why Bosay Resort Antipolo Feels So Relaxing

The name says a lot: “bosay” is a Waray word for waterfalls, and water is the star here. According to the official Bosay Resort website, the resort has a Storm Wave pool that mimics ocean surf, an infinity pool, an Olympic-size pool (50 by 25 meters), a disco pool, kiddie pools with slides, a therapy pool, and a pool with man-made waterfalls. In other words, there is a pool for every mood and every age.

You will find the resort on Marigman Road in Barangay San Roque, Antipolo City. Because it is tucked into a leafy, landscaped property, the air feels fresher than in the city, and birdsong replaces traffic noise. If you enjoy slower, farm-style stays too, you will love our guide to The Apiary Mountain Camp & Farm in Tanay, another easy Rizal escape.

Booking and Payment: Planning Your Bosay Escape

Booking Bosay Resort Antipolo is straightforward. You can reserve online, or contact the resort directly if you prefer a personal touch.

  • Online booking: The resort lists rooms on platforms like Klook and Agoda, which sometimes offer deals worth checking.
  • Direct contact: Call (02) 8661-9011, (02) 8661-9012, (02) 8695-1807, or (02) 8703-7973. Mobile: Globe 0915-980-9296 or Smart 0998-562-0143.
  • Cash only on site: At the time of our visit in June 2024, the resort did not accept cards or GCash, so bring enough cash for your stay and extras.

Pro tip: Withdraw cash before you arrive. Knowing the cash-only rule ahead of time makes check-in smooth and stress-free.

Room Options and Rates at Bosay Resort Antipolo

The resort offers three main ways to stay, so groups of different sizes can find a fit:

Cottages: Cozy and practical for day trips and small families who plan to spend most of the day in the water.

Hotel rooms: More comfort and privacy, well suited to couples and overnight guests who want an easy base.

Private pools: Some accommodations come with a private pool, a lovely upgrade if you want a quieter, more exclusive swim.

The photos above show the entrance and rate signs from our June 2024 visit, so treat those prices as a guide at the time of writing: for day swimming, entrance was ₱220 for adults and ₱150 for kids. For current rates and availability, check the official Bosay Resort website before you book.

Relaxing at the Pools: What to Expect

Mornings at Bosay Resort Antipolo are calm and unhurried. We loved drifting between pools, then resting in the shade with the sound of water nearby. Later in the day, the energy picks up as more families arrive, especially before sunset.

To keep swim time pleasant for everyone, the resort follows a few simple rules:

  • Proper swimwear: Pack proper swimwear, because only swimsuits and similar swim attire are allowed in the pools.
  • Towels and slippers: Guests leave towels and slippers by the pool entrance. I worried ours might get mixed up with someone else’s, so consider bringing a distinct pair.

None of the rules felt like a burden. Once you know them, it is easy to settle in and enjoy the water.

Theo and Miguel Restaurant: Dining Inside the Resort

Theo and Miguel Restaurant sits inside Bosay Resort Antipolo, so you can enjoy a proper meal without leaving the property. It serves Filipino comfort food: crispy pata kare-kare, beef bulalo pares, roasted spring chicken, and even fish and chips.

Family meals: Sharing sets make group dining easy. At the time of writing (June 2024), prices ran from ₱629 for a Buttermilk Fried Chicken set for 2-3 people to ₱1,599 for a Beef Ribs Sinigang set for 4-5, each with rice and iced tea. A 10% service charge applies.

Sweet endings: Save room for Theo’s Favorite, leche flan with ice cream, or Miguel’s Favorite, a fried banana, mango, and rice cake roll. Drinks range from house-blend iced tea and fruit shakes to coffee and San Miguel beer.

Want something else? Filipino comfort food is the focus here, so for other cuisines you will need to head out. After checkout, the coffee shops in Tanay, Rizal make a lovely next stop.

My Takeaway: Is Bosay Resort Antipolo Worth It?

In short, yes. Our stay at Bosay Resort Antipolo was relaxed, friendly, and easy, and the small flaws never outweighed the good parts.

What we loved:

  • Pool variety: From the Storm Wave pool to quieter corners, everyone in our group found a favorite spot.
  • Clean, comfy rooms: Our room was spotless on arrival, with comfortable beds, bottled water, tissues, and a hygiene kit. Staff also checked the room inventory with us, which felt reassuring.
  • Day-to-night charm: Days were peaceful, while evenings turned lively as guests sang karaoke under the lights.

What could improve:

  • Payment options: Card or e-wallet payments would make stays easier than cash only.
  • Breakfast variety: The selection was limited, although Theo and Miguel’s wider menu nearby helped.
  • Towel policy: A designated towel area inside the pool zone would be more convenient.
  • Guest service: A small mix-up with our booked beds was sorted out, but a calmer, more solution-first approach would have been better.

Overall, Bosay Resort Antipolo gave us exactly what we wanted: water, shade, good food, and time together, without a long drive from Manila. We would happily return, and next time we might pair the trip with the Pililla Wind Farm and more of Rizal’s local eats.
