2 Years of Swiping Right, Forever Grateful I Did

A heartfelt poem to my husband, celebrating his love that mended my broken pieces.

Two years past, our paths crossed,
In the dance of fate, where I was lost.
Love, a distant tale, penned by dreamers’ hands,
Seemed but a myth from far-off lands.

We found harmony in shared screens,
In tales spun in digital dreams.
Music flowed, a river of resonant tones,
In every note, a bond that grows.

Days cascaded, one to another,
No grand designs, no need to smother.
Talks of life, of fire, of creed,
A fabric woven from every shared deed.

Now, in 2024, we stand side by side,
Marking a year where love did not hide.
Gratitude overflows, a cup runneth over,
For the life we’ve built, in the shelter of each other.

Your love, a haven from the storm,
A blanket snug, soft, and warm.
In the drizzle of life’s relentless days,
It’s your heart that shelters, your soul that stays.

Author’s Note

Two years ago, we found something amazing. It felt like a lucky moment—just a simple meeting that turned into something truly special. Back then, love seemed far away, like something out of a fairytale. But when we started talking, sharing our lives through little screens, something clicked. We connected through music, stories, and it felt like we were building our own little world—two hearts in sync.

With each conversation, we opened up more. Our bond grew naturally, like a flower blooming from a single seed. We talked about our hopes, dreams, fears, and everything in between. Every moment felt like we were adding color to a painting that was just ours.

Now, in 2024, we’re celebrating two years of that real, honest connection. I’m so grateful for the life we’re creating together. Your love is my safe place, the calm in my storms. Even when life gets hard, I know you’ll be there—steady, strong, and loving. You’re the one I can always count on—the brightest light in my life.

I love you, husband. Happy 2nd anniversary of finding each other. ❤️
